During a comprehensive official visit to Dharmapuri district, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated an innovative digital governance pilot project allowing farmers to apply online through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies (PACCS) and receive crop loans disbursed within a single working day. Stalin launched the pilot initiative at Adhiyamankottai, announcing that this streamlined, paperless credit delivery mechanism will soon be expanded across all agricultural cooperative societies throughout Tamil Nadu to eradicate bureaucratic delays for cultivators.
Expanding regional civic and rural infrastructure, the Chief Minister inaugurated 1,073 completed development projects constructed at an outlay of 362.77 crore rupees, while laying foundation stones for 1,044 new developmental initiatives valued at 512.52 crore rupees. Additionally, Stalin presided over a massive public welfare distribution ceremony, presenting governmental welfare benefits worth 830.06 crore rupees directly to 70,427 beneficiaries across Dharmapuri district.
Stalin affirmed that rapid agrarian credit delivery and aggressive rural infrastructure investments form the twin pillars of agricultural prosperity under the Dravidian Model governance. He concluded that empowering farmers with seamless financial assistance substantially ensures regional food security, agricultural self-reliance, and sustainable rural economic resilience.
