Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid glowing tributes to the memory of veteran party leader, renowned orator, and former minister Rahman Khan. Stalin recalled that during turbulent eras when the DMK swam against fierce political currents, Rahman Khan served as an unyielding defensive fortress, roaring like thunder within the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and igniting public gatherings with explosive oratory that electrified millions of grassroots supporters.
The Chief Minister asserted that in the contemporary political environment, where the Union BJP government introduces authoritarian legislation and attempts to divert the country away from constitutional democracy, Rahman Khan's uncompromising courage serves as a vital guidepost. Stalin declared that the DMK will actively train a formidable vanguard of ideologically dedicated young cadres who embody Rahman Khan's intellectual fearlessness, rhetorical mastery, and steadfast commitment to self-respect and social justice.
Stalin concluded that honoring Rahman Khan's memory demands continuous public mobilization to safeguard Tamil Nadu's collective dignity, linguistic identity, and state autonomy. He affirmed that the party's cadre base will fearlessly counter divisive politics to protect secular democratic values across the state.
