Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that the party's annual flagship conference, the Mupperum Vizha, will be celebrated with grand ideological fervor in Karur. Stalin congratulated the distinguished party veterans and ideological stalwarts selected by the DMK headquarters to receive prestigious annual awards, commending their lifetime devotion, unyielding discipline, and tireless service to the black-and-red banner across decades of political struggle.

The Chief Minister explained that the Mupperum Vizha holds sacred significance for the Dravidian movement, synthesizing three historic milestones: the birth anniversary of rationalist icon Thanthai Periyar, the birth anniversary of party founder C.N. Annadurai, and the founding day of the DMK itself.
