ஈரோடு மாவட்ட மக்களின் நீண்ட நாள் கோரிக்கையை நிறைவேற்றி, இந்தத் தலைவர்களின் புகழைப் போற்றினேன்!

Honoring the historical legacy of patriotic sacrifice and Dravidian ideological renaissance, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled life-size commemorative bronze statues of freedom fighter Kodi Kaatha Tiruppur Kumaran and revered Dravidian leader E.V.K. Sampath in Erode. Stalin noted that Erode has historically served as a fertile crucible of revolutionary thinkers, social reformers, and anti-colonial patriots whose courage shaped modern Tamil political identity and national independence struggles.
The Chief Minister recalled Tiruppur Kumaran's supreme sacrifice during the anti-colonial movement, holding aloft the national tricolor while enduring brutal colonial police assaults until his final breath. Paying homage to E.V.K. Sampath, Stalin celebrated him as an orator of unmatched eloquence and a founding stalwart of the Dravidian movement who articulated principles of state autonomy, social justice, and rationalist reform with intellectual elegance.
Stalin declared that unveiling these statues fulfilled a cherished, long-pending aspiration of the people of Erode district. He concluded that honoring historical heroes who sacrificed their lives and careers for public dignity ensures that future generations remain rooted in patriotic courage, constitutional secularism, linguistic dignity, and democratic ideals for the future.
