The Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme in Tamil Nadu continues to inspire beyond our borders.
Hon’ble Punjab CM Thiru. @BhagwantMann honoured us by attending the #CMBreakFastScheme expansion event today, and I thank him warmly for his esteemed presence. After witnessing its impact here, he said that he would consider introducing a similar scheme in Punjab and hold discussions on it, and we are grateful for that.
His words fill my heart with joy and pride, and I eagerly look forward to the day when it takes shape in #Punjab.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hosted Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as the guest of honor during the statewide expansion ceremony of the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme in Chennai. Stalin expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to his Punjab counterpart for traveling to Tamil Nadu to witness the practical implementation and nutritional impact of the landmark welfare initiative, which provides free, wholesome morning meals to primary school children across urban and rural state-aided schools.
Following an on-site inspection of school meal preparations and dining halls, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the Punjab government would actively evaluate introducing a similar universal morning meal program in Punjab's primary schools. Stalin remarked that Mann's positive declaration filled his heart with immense pride, affirming that Tamil Nadu's social welfare innovations continue to inspire state governments across regional boundaries.
Stalin emphasized that genuine cooperative federalism is exemplified when progressive state administrations exchange successful policy blueprints to uplift underprivileged citizens. He expressed eager anticipation for Punjab's adoption of the initiative, reiterating that Tamil Nadu will always share its welfare expertise to benefit elementary school children across the entire nation.
