Two powerhouses, one vision for the future
In Düsseldorf, I met NRW Minister-President Thiru. @HendrikWuest — a leader who has assumed high office at such a young age, and whom I warmly wish to see reach even greater heights in the years ahead.
Tamil Nadu, India’s industrial powerhouse, and North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s economic powerhouse, came together with the spirit of trust and optimism.
I detailed Tamil Nadu’s remarkable growth under the #DravidianModel, and shared my wish for the great companies in NRW to explore the opportunities in our state. I also extended a cordial invitation for him to visit Tamil Nadu.

During his official economic mission to Germany, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin held high-level bilateral discussions in Düsseldorf with Hendrik Wüst, the Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Stalin commended the young German leader for his dynamic leadership of Germany's foremost economic powerhouse, expressing warm wishes for his continued political success and extending an official invitation for him to visit Tamil Nadu to deepen regional inter-state ties.
The Chief Minister characterized the meeting as a strategic convergence of two industrial powerhouses, pairing Tamil Nadu's advanced manufacturing capabilities with NRW's global engineering and technological prowess. Stalin briefed the Minister-President on Tamil Nadu's industrial transformation under the Dravidian Model governance, detailing the state's leadership in automotive fabrication, electric mobility, renewable energy integration, and specialized electronics assembly.
Stalin invited prominent enterprises headquartered in North Rhine-Westphalia to explore expansive investment opportunities in Tamil Nadu's expanding industrial corridors. He concluded that collaborative partnerships in vocational education, green technologies, renewable energy, and advanced scientific research between the two powerhouse regions will generate sustainable industrial growth, technological innovation, and productive employment for young professionals in both regions.
