Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced a major economic breakthrough from London, revealing that the United Kingdom-based Hinduja Group has committed an investment of 7,500 crore rupees to bolster Tamil Nadu's electric vehicle and battery energy storage ecosystem, creating over one thousand specialized engineering jobs. Combining this landmark agreement with AstraZeneca's research and development expansion and prior investment pacts, the UK and Germany mission under the Tamil Nadu Rising initiative secured 15,516 crore rupees in total investments, generating 17,613 high-value employment opportunities for regional youth.
Stalin emphasized that these substantial investment figures represent far more than economic statistics; they signify life-changing career opportunities, prosperous futures, and tangible dreams realized for thousands of families across the state. He characterized this rapid influx of international capital into advanced manufacturing sectors as the living spirit and practical manifestation of the Dravidian Model of governance.
