Had the privilege of visiting Dr B.R. Ambedkar House in London, the residence where Babasaheb stayed while pursuing his studies at LSE.
Walking through its rooms, I felt a deep sense of awe. This was where a young man, once suppressed by caste in India, rose through knowledge to command respect in London and later became the chief architect of the Constitution of India.
What touched me most was seeing the historic picture of Thanthai #Periyar and Dr #Ambedkar in conversation.
Grateful for this inspiring moment. #JaiBhim 💙

During his official visit to the United Kingdom, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited the historic Dr B.R. Ambedkar House in London, the preserved residence where Babasaheb lived while pursuing advanced scholarly studies at the London School of Economics. Walking through the memorial rooms, Stalin described feeling profound awe and reverent humility. He reflected on how a young scholar, once subjected to the indignities of caste discrimination in colonial India, triumphed through academic excellence to command global intellectual respect and subsequently emerge as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.
The Chief Minister shared that he was deeply moved by an archival photograph exhibited within the memorial portraying rationalist reformer Thanthai Periyar and Dr B.R. Ambedkar engaged in animated conversation. Stalin observed that this iconic image captures the profound intellectual convergence of India's two greatest anti-caste titans, whose shared commitment to human dignity, caste eradication, and minority rights shaped the progressive destiny of the subcontinent.
Stalin concluded by reaffirming his devotion to the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Periyar. He declared that defending constitutional secularism and social equality remains the ultimate tribute to their emancipatory struggles.
