Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm congratulations to M. Veerapandian upon his election as the Tamil Nadu State Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI). Stalin conveyed his best wishes to the newly chosen Left leader, expressing confidence that his leadership will strengthen working-class mobilization, protect agricultural laborers, and advance secular democratic principles across the state.
At the same time, the Chief Minister expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to outgoing veteran CPI State Secretary R. Mutharasan for his years of dedicated public service. Stalin commended Mutharasan for steering the Communist movement with ideological clarity and nurturing principled camaraderie within the Secular Progressive Alliance in defense of democratic rights and minority safeguards.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK and Left parties share an enduring historical partnership rooted in common struggles for social justice, workers' dignity, and regional federalism. He reiterated that democratic and progressive secular forces will continue traveling together in close political alignment to safeguard the constitutional framework, resist authoritarian policies, and achieve resounding electoral victories on behalf of underprivileged citizens and working families across Tamil Nadu.
