Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the humane impact of the state's Anbukaram welfare program, affirming that the Dravidian Model administration stands as a compassionate guardian for orphaned children and vulnerable youths who have lost one or both parents. Stalin emphasized that state governance must extend beyond bureaucratic management to provide an institutional protective embrace for society's most defenseless members, ensuring that personal tragedy does not deprive any child of dignity, educational opportunities, or psychological security.
Through the Anbukaram initiative, the Department of Social Welfare and Women Empowerment provides regular financial stipends, educational fee coverage, residential support, and healthcare monitoring to children without parental care. The program aims to prevent school dropouts, protect vulnerable minors from exploitation, and equip them with career skills and higher education pathways.
The Chief Minister asserted that a progressive society's moral progress is measured by how it cares for its most vulnerable children. Stalin concluded that his government will continuously expand welfare safety nets, ensuring every disadvantaged child receives the resources, affection, and systemic institutional backing needed to grow into a self-reliant and accomplished citizen across Tamil Nadu.
