Commemorating the seventy-sixth anniversary of the founding of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, party president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin reflected on the organization's historic evolution from a reformist grassroots initiative into Tamil Nadu's primary political force. Quoting founder C.N. Annadurai's famous formulation that dividing Anna yields his brothers and adding his brothers yields Anna, Stalin observed that over decades of struggle, dividing the DMK yields Tamil Nadu, while uniting the people of Tamil Nadu creates the DMK.
Stalin asserted that the party's endurance stems from its deep identity with the democratic aspirations, cultural rights, and developmental ambitions of Tamil society. Calling upon the public to rally behind the Oraniyil Tamil Nadu campaign, the Chief Minister affirmed that united collective resistance will defeat reactionary forces seeking to diminish the state's self-respect.
The Chief Minister concluded that the DMK administration remains dedicated to keeping Tamil Nadu on an uninterrupted upward path of industrial expansion, equitable social development, and inclusive welfare delivery. Stalin urged party cadres to honor the sacrifices of earlier generations by maintaining relentless grassroots solidarity with everyday citizens across the state.
