மாநில அரசே MLA நிதியாக ஆண்டுக்கு 3 கோடி ரூபாய் வழங்கும் நிலையில், ஒன்றிய அரசு MP-களுக்கான தொகுதி வளர்ச்சி நிதியை 10 கோடி ரூபாயாக உயர்த்தி வழங்க வேண்டும்;

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin chaired the fifth state-level meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in Chennai, demanding a significant increase in central funding and prompt fiscal disbursements from the Union Government. Stalin pointed out that while the Tamil Nadu government provides three crore rupees annually to each Member of the Legislative Assembly under the local area development scheme, the Union Government should raise Member of Parliament local area development funds to ten crore rupees per year.
The Chief Minister emphasized that smooth execution of central welfare and rural development programs requires matching punctuality from central authorities. He stated that just as the Tamil Nadu administration releases its designated state share without delay to ensure benefits reach grassroots citizens, the Union Government must disburse its required financial component on time. Stalin noted that delays in central funding disrupt ongoing development works and harm local communities.
Stalin concluded that federal welfare schemes can only succeed through genuine cooperative partnership between central and state administrations. He urged central departments to eliminate procedural bottlenecks, respect state implementation priorities, and honor statutory financial obligations to protect citizen welfare across Tamil Nadu.
