Chief Minister M.K. Stalin engaged with one thousand two hundred and thirty-one newly qualified Village Health Nurses who completed rigorous clinical training at government nursing schools, formally welcoming them into the state's public healthcare workforce. Stalin emphasized that village health nurses constitute the vital frontline backbone of rural medical administration, delivering compassionate doorstep care, managing antenatal monitoring, administering childhood immunizations, and maintaining village health registries across every district.
Highlighting the Dravidian Model's prioritization of primary health infrastructure, Stalin announced that the state government will recruit an additional two thousand four hundred and seventeen healthcare personnel through the Medical Services Recruitment Board to fill remaining vacancies across state medical institutions. He noted that filling medical posts promptly ensures that rural clinics and secondary government hospitals operate with optimal technical staffing.
The Chief Minister commended the newly appointed nurses for choosing a profession dedicated to saving lives and serving vulnerable rural families. Stalin affirmed that systematic investments in healthcare recruitment, primary diagnostic networks, and modernized rural primary health centers have established Tamil Nadu's public health delivery model as an undisputed benchmark for maternal and infant healthcare nationwide.
