We in Tamil Nadu believe that education is the true measure of progress for any society. Through the #DravidianModel, our government continues to turn this belief into action.
Tomorrow, as we host the “Tamil Nadu Excels in Education” event , which will also mark the expansion of our landmark #PudhumaiPenn and #TamilPudhalvan schemes, I extend a warm and affectionate welcome to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Thiru. @revanth_anumula, whose esteemed presence will add pride and strength to this celebration of learning.
I am equally eager to meet our bright students and share in their energy and aspirations.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended a warm official and personal welcome to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on his visit to Chennai to participate in the 'Tamil Nadu Excels in Education' summit. Stalin underscored that the Dravidian Model administration considers quality public education to be the primary catalyst for social emancipation, economic equality, and civilizational progress, consistently converting this philosophical belief into impactful institutional welfare programs.
The state educational conference serves as the launch platform for the statewide expansion of two landmark higher education cash-transfer programs: the 'Pudhumai Penn' scheme, which provides one thousand rupees per month to female students from government schools pursuing collegiate degrees, and the 'Tamil Pudhalvan' scheme, which extends identical monthly financial support to male collegiate students.
Stalin expressed immense enthusiasm for interacting directly with thousands of student beneficiaries attending the grand celebration. He noted that the presence of the Telangana Chief Minister adds national stature to Tamil Nadu's educational achievements, highlighting how progressive southern states collaborate and share forward-thinking governance paradigms that dismantle barriers to higher learning for underprivileged students across higher educational institutions throughout India.
