Chief Minister M.K. Stalin responded immediately to distressing reports of a severe crowd crush in Karur that resulted in multiple citizens fainting and requiring urgent hospitalization. Demonstrating executive crisis coordination, Stalin contacted former cabinet minister V. Senthilbalaji, Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, and the Karur District Collector, instructing them to ensure that all admitted individuals receive intensive, multi-specialty emergency medical treatment without delay.
To reinforce local emergency response mechanisms, the Chief Minister directed Tiruchirappalli district minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi to rush specialized medical personnel and logistical support from neighboring districts on a war footing. Stalin also engaged with the Additional Director General of Police, ordering comprehensive on-ground crowd stabilization measures and secure vehicular corridors for continuous ambulance transit to regional hospitals.
The Chief Minister issued an urgent appeal to local residents and family members to extend full cooperation to treating medical professionals and attending police officers. He affirmed that the entire state administrative machinery remains focused on stabilizing patients, preventing further complications, and restoring civic normalcy through coordinated inter-departmental relief operations across Karur and adjoining medical centers, ensuring patient stabilization and comprehensive recovery.
