Editorial context

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted an unannounced inspection of the Keeladi Museum in Sivagangai district, expressing pride over the facility attracting more than twelve lakh visitors within thirty months of its public opening. Stalin observed that international tourists, scholars, and visitors from across Indian states continue to marvel at the sophisticated urban material artifacts of the Sangam era, which prove the deep antiquity and literacy of ancient Tamil civilization.

Underlining his government's sustained commitment to scientific heritage excavation, Stalin announced that an expansive Keeladi Open-Air Museum will open to the public in January. He added that the Porunai River Civilization Museum in Tirunelveli will be inaugurated in December, while construction of a dedicated historical museum at Gangaikonda Cholapuram is progressing swiftly alongside deep-sea marine archaeological explorations launched at the ancient port of Poompuhar.

The Chief Minister asserted that through rigorous scientific excavations across terrestrial sites, ancient river basins, and submerged coastal harbors, the Dravidian Model administration is rewriting historical paradigms. He reiterated that Indian history must be comprehensively written starting from the southern Tamil landscape, preserving historical truth against attempts at cultural erasure or distortion.
