Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that every Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Member of the Legislative Assembly and Member of Parliament will donate one month's salary to support the construction of the monumental Periyar World complex at Siruganur in Tiruchirappalli. Stalin underscored that self-respect represents the foundational ethos of the Dravidian movement, transforming subjugated masses into a dignified, enlightened, and self-reliant society over the past century.
Addressing Dravidar Kazhagam President Asiriyar K. Veeramani, Stalin pledged that DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, will steadfastly partner with Periyar Thidal to give concrete institutional shape to Thanthai Periyar's rationalist vision. He declared that the Dravidian Model government functions as the direct legislative and executive continuation of the hundred-year-old Self-Respect movement, using state authority to enact progressive reforms for all citizens.
The Chief Minister commended the global vision behind the Siruganur Periyar World project, which will house educational exhibits, research archives, and rationalist forums for future generations. Stalin concluded that collective contributions from elected lawmakers reflect the party's unshakeable commitment to perpetuating Periyar's radical social justice principles, social justice values, and human dignity within modern democratic governance and legislative public policy.
