Chief Minister M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the grave and continuous human rights violations committed by Israel against civilian populations in the Gaza Strip, demanding an immediate international cessation of military aggression. Stalin warned that as the world's most populous constitutional democracy, India cannot maintain indifference or turn a blind eye to widespread humanitarian devastation affecting innocent children, women, and families.
Recalling India's foreign policy heritage, Stalin noted that the country historically adopted a principled stance by extending early international recognition to Palestinian nationhood and self-determination. He asserted that the present geopolitical moment requires the Union government to demonstrate moral courage and re-align national diplomatic policy with India's foundational anti-colonial principles of international solidarity, peace, and humanitarian justice.
To translate this moral conviction into institutional action, Stalin announced that the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly will adopt an official resolution during its upcoming legislative session, urging the Union government to actively intervene for peace and uphold Palestinian human rights. He concluded that defending civilian lives and global peace remains an urgent moral duty that transcends regional boundaries and demands urgent collective attention from responsible international democracies worldwide.
