Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited his home assembly constituency of Kolathur in Chennai, inaugurating a modern electricity substation constructed at an investment of 110.92 crore rupees in Ganesh Nagar. The newly commissioned power utility infrastructure by the state electricity department is designed to significantly reinforce power transmission capabilities, stabilize grid voltage, and eliminate recurring power fluctuations across densely populated residential and commercial neighborhoods.
During the inauguration, Stalin inspected the control installations, high-capacity transformers, and digital monitoring systems deployed at the site. The upgraded sub-station will cater to the expanding domestic electricity load, provide dependable uninterrupted power to local commercial enterprises, and support future civic expansion projects across northern Chennai. Stalin noted that consistent power infrastructure upgrades are fundamental to sustaining quality urban living and facilitating seamless economic activities throughout working-class neighborhoods.
Reaffirming his administration's responsive commitment to local constituent welfare and statewide infrastructural enhancement, Stalin highlighted that the Dravidian Model governance prioritizes essential public utilities. He stated that the government will continue executing massive capital upgrades across Tamil Nadu's energy distribution network, guaranteeing equitable, uninterrupted, and green power supply to every household and industrial unit.
