DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin handed over a financial contribution of 1,70,20,000 rupees to Dravidar Kazhagam President K. Veeramani in Chennai, dedicated toward the construction of the grand 'Periyar World' memorial and educational complex in Siruganur near Tiruchirappalli. The significant donation represents one month's salary contributed collectively by all elected Members of the Legislative Assembly and Members of Parliament belonging to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

Stalin lauded the monumental visionary work of social revolutionary Thanthai Periyar E.V. Ramasamy, who tirelessly dedicated his entire life to eradicating social discrimination, promoting scientific temper, and establishing human self-respect. He emphasized that the Periyar World project will serve as an international beacon of rationalist thought, housing modern research libraries, interactive social history exhibits, and educational facilities to inspire future generations of social reformers.

Reaffirming the DMK's foundational philosophical roots, Stalin asserted that the Tamil community walks with dignified pride under the radiant torch of Periyar's progressive ideals. He concluded that his party will continually champion social justice, gender equality, and rationalist thought against regressive forces, honoring Periyar's transformative legacy through active solidarity and committed policy.
