Stalin visited the State Emergency Operations Centre in Chennai to review comprehensive disaster preparedness with district collectors via videoconference. Stalin evaluated emergency response mechanisms across all vulnerable districts, assessing the readiness of local administrative teams, drainage clearance operations, and round-the-clock emergency control rooms.

The Chief Minister instructed district administrations to maintain relief shelters in a state of immediate readiness, complete with adequate stocks of clean drinking water, wholesome cooked meals, essential medications, and emergency power backup. Taking special note of the harvesting season in the Cauvery delta, Stalin specifically directed authorities in Tiruvarur and neighboring districts to take all necessary preventive steps to protect harvested paddy and ensure that government procurement remains entirely unaffected by rainfall.

Stalin called upon public servants, disaster response personnel, and elected representatives to act with shared responsibility and heightened vigilance.
