On #WorldOccupationalTherapyDay, we salute the therapists who empower people to live with dignity and independence.
Our #DravidianModel Government furthers this mission through Vizhuthugal - One Stop Centre for differently abled persons, and the Centre for Excellence for Persons with ASD.
Together, we are building a Tamil Nadu where care, inclusion, and opportunity reach every individual.

On World Occupational Therapy Day, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid tribute to occupational therapists for their compassionate dedication toward empowering individuals with disabilities to lead self-reliant, dignified lives. Stalin emphasized that comprehensive clinical therapy and early functional rehabilitation form essential pillars of enduring social inclusion, enabling individuals to overcome physical and developmental hurdles and realize their fullest personal potential.
Highlighting the Dravidian Model government's dedicated interventions in disability welfare, Stalin outlined institutional facilities established across Tamil Nadu. These include 'Vizhuthugal,' the state's flagship One Stop Centre for differently abled persons, which integrates medical assessment, therapeutic support, assistive devices, and counseling under a single roof. Additionally, the administration established the specialized Centre for Excellence for Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder to deliver evidence-based therapy and early pediatric interventions.
Stalin affirmed that his government is committed to transforming Tamil Nadu into an accessible, barrier-free society where every citizen enjoys compassionate care and equal opportunities. He concluded that expanding modern therapeutic infrastructure and community rehabilitation services ensures that vulnerable individuals and their families receive sustained government solidarity, economic self-reliance, and enduring institutional dignity.
