Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a strongly worded critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election campaign speeches across northern states, expressing deep distress over political rhetoric targeting the Tamil people. Speaking in his capacity as the elected representative of Tamil Nadu, Stalin condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership for repeatedly exploiting regional hostility in Odisha and Bihar to gain narrow partisan electoral advantages.
Stalin reminded the Prime Minister that holding the nation's highest executive office requires upholding impartial dignity and fostering unity across all constituent linguistic communities. He warned that manufacturing animosity between linguistic groups, such as pitting northern residents against Tamils, directly imperils India's foundational character as a diverse and pluralistic union of states. Stalin emphasized that generating artificial conflicts between religious and regional groups causes lasting societal harm and undermines the sacred democratic concept of unity in diversity.
Calling for an immediate halt to polarizing campaigns, Stalin urged the central leadership to direct administrative focus toward pressing national issues and economic development. He reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will consistently advocate mutual respect and federal harmony among all Indian states.
