The horror of #HaryanaFiles: people’s mandate being stolen by BJP
Once again, serious doubts are being raised over the authenticity of the BJP’s recent election victories. The strong evidence released by my brother and Hon’ble LoP Thiru. @RahulGandhi on #VoteTheft in #Haryana is shocking.
The BJP came to power in 2014 by thriving on hate propaganda and false promises. Since then, people have stopped believing in its divisive politics. Now, going beyond electoral malpractice, they are tampering with electoral rolls and stealing the mandate of the people, as has come to light.
What follows next is even more alarming, the organised disenfranchisement of citizens under the guise of #SIR. Bihar stands as proof, and so do the explosive #HaryanaFiles revealed today.
It is painful that the #ECI, which is supposed to be an independent body and functioning with the hard-earned money paid as taxes by the people of this country, has offered no explanation to citizens despite such a huge amount of evidence released so far. Will it answer to the people and revive the faith that democracy in India has not yet been fully buried?
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed profound alarm over the #HaryanaFiles revelations, accusing the ruling BJP of subverting democratic mandates through systemic electoral roll manipulation and questionable counting processes. In a strongly worded English statement, Stalin asserted that serious doubts surrounding recent election outcomes in Haryana expose an organized effort to undermine the constitutional sovereignty of Indian voters.
Stalin highlighted the alarming parallel of mass voter disenfranchisement taking place under the guise of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), citing evidence from Bihar and Haryana where legitimate electors were systematically removed from registries. He emphasized that the Election Commission of India, funded by public tax money to remain strictly independent, has offered zero credible explanations despite mounting documentary evidence.
Questioning whether the apex electoral body will answer to citizens, the Chief Minister warned that continued institutional silence erodes public faith in the very survival of Indian democracy. Stalin called for immediate structural accountability, insisting that the Election Commission must provide transparent answers to the people and prove that democratic principles have not been permanently compromised.
He stated that the Election Commission must provide transparent answers to reassure citizens about the fairness of democratic processes.
