Chief Minister M.K. Stalin raised serious concerns regarding the integrity of recent election outcomes in Haryana, questioning the conspicuous silence of the Election Commission of India in the face of documented voting anomalies. Stalin noted that repeated discrepancies between ground exit surveys and recorded electronic voting tallies have cast deep public suspicion over the ruling BJP's electoral victories across several key states.
Stalin highlighted complaints raised by political parties regarding electronic voting machine battery discrepancies, unexpected vote count surges, and uninvestigated procedural complaints. He argued that the Election Commission, funded by public taxpayers to serve as an impartial guardian of democracy, bears a constitutional obligation to furnish clear, evidence-based explanations to restore public trust.
The Chief Minister declared that democracy dies when citizens lose faith in the sanctity of the ballot box. Calling upon national democratic forces to unite in demanding total electoral transparency, Stalin reaffirmed that free, fair, and unquestionable elections are the bedrock of India's constitutional republic, urging the Election Commission to break its silence and address citizen concerns transparently.
He concluded that restoring institutional credibility is vital to preserving public faith in India's electoral democracy.
