Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated the ideological legacy of the Dravidian movement, declaring that the color of time is black and red—the colors representing rationalism and social reform. Stalin asserted that the Dravidian Munnetra Kazhagam attained political power by placing knowledge at the center of governance, making it the administration's foremost duty to illuminate every citizen's mind through universal education and rationalist literature.
Stalin highlighted state initiatives that have revived Tamil Nadu's literary culture, including district-level annual book fairs, the construction of grand modern libraries like the Kalaignar Centenary Library in Madurai, and extensive grants for vernacular literature. He observed that spreading books and scientific inquiry dismantles regressive superstitions, empowering common citizens to think independently and organize for their democratic rights.
The Chief Minister emphasized that governance must transcend material infrastructure by cultivating progressive social consciousness and intellectual curiosity across generations. Reaffirming the DMK's founding commitment to enlightenment, Stalin vowed that the government will continue democratizing knowledge access across all communities, ensuring modern Tamil Nadu remains an enlightened beacon of rationalism, literature, and social equality.
He affirmed that scientific education and literary culture remain vital to the Dravidian movement's enduring social mission.
