Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced six transformative development projects worth 766 crore rupees for Pudukkottai district, headlined by the establishment of a state-of-the-art Neo TIDEL IT Park. The initiative reflects the government's strategy to decentralize information technology infrastructure, bringing tech employment hubs directly to tier-2 and tier-3 towns so local engineering graduates can work near their hometowns.

Stalin also announced major civic status upgrades, elevating Gandarvakkottai to a town panchayat and upgrading Ponnamaravathi into a full-fledged municipality. These administrative reclassifications unlock substantial central and state urban development funds, paving the way for modern underground drainage, upgraded water supply networks, paved roads, and enhanced municipal sanitation services for growing populations.

The package included drinking water schemes, rural health centers, and educational additions across the district. Addressing local residents, the Chief Minister affirmed that balanced regional growth is a non-negotiable tenet of the Dravidian Model, ensuring every district secures modern industrial infrastructure and upgraded urban conveniences that elevate living standards across central Tamil Nadu.

He affirmed that decentralized industrial infrastructure and municipal upgrades will together accelerate Pudukkottai district's long-term economic transformation and youth employment.
