Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a grave political warning regarding the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, describing the operation as the greatest emerging threat to democratic governance in India. Stalin asserted that preventing the arbitrary disenfranchisement of legitimate voters is the foremost duty of every citizen and political party committed to constitutional democracy.

Stalin highlighted alarming reports indicating that crores of legitimate citizens were systematically expunged from voter registries under the guise of hurried pre-election revisions in states like West Bengal and Bihar. He warned that conducting opaque, rushed revision drives without multi-party verification dismantles the fundamental foundation of democracy—the universal right to vote—by disempowering marginalized, minority, and rural working-class communities.

The Chief Minister directed DMK party cadre and election booth agents to maintain intense field vigilance, cross-verifying draft voter lists door to door to prevent unauthorized deletions. Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian movement will wage an uncompromising democratic battle against administrative manipulation, demanding that the Election Commission uphold absolute transparency and institutional neutrality in managing voter rolls.
