Stalin led a comprehensive review meeting with the Industries Department to track the implementation of investment commitments secured through Global Investors Meets and international trade delegations. Stalin reviewed project execution timelines, industrial land allocations, and statutory clearance procedures, ensuring committed capital investments transition swiftly from signed agreements to operational manufacturing facilities.
The review highlighted substantial progress in electronic hardware manufacturing, electric vehicle production, renewable energy installations, and non-leather footwear units, with new industrial clusters distributed across non-metro districts like Thoothukudi, Krishnagiri, and Perambalur. Stalin noted that dispersing industrial development beyond Chennai creates equitable employment opportunities for educated rural youth and women, fulfilling a key Dravidian Model economic goal.
Stalin directed senior officials to maintain proactive single-window clearances, resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, and foster business-friendly conditions that sustain investor confidence. Asserting that Tamil Nadu is rapidly advancing toward its ambitious goal of a one-trillion-dollar economy, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government's resolve to couple economic modernization with substantial, high-wage employment generation for all segments of the state's workforce.
He noted that sustained industrial growth ensures Tamil Nadu remains India's premier destination for global manufacturing investment.
