Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a massive suite of civic, irrigation, and administrative infrastructure projects across Thanjavur district, dedicating newly constructed public assets to the people of the Cauvery delta region. The multi-crore package included modern collectorate administrative complexes, upgraded taluk office buildings, improved rural road connectivity, and modern storage facilities for farming communities.
Addressing local officials and community representatives, Stalin emphasized that the Dravidian Model government prioritizes equitable regional growth, ensuring backward rural districts receive world-class civic amenities alongside urban centers. He reviewed ongoing desilting canals and water harvesting works, instructing engineers to maintain strict quality standards and adhere to project completion schedules without administrative slippage.
In addition to opening completed structures, the Chief Minister distributed welfare entitlements directly to beneficiaries, including small farmers, rural women, and self-help groups. Stalin reaffirmed his administration's resolute focus on strengthening grassroots administrative machinery, emphasizing that decentralizing government offices brings frontline public services closer to ordinary citizens, expediting grievance redressal and fostering inclusive rural development throughout central Tamil Nadu.
He emphasized that these completed projects reflect the government's dedicated commitment to transforming the Cauvery delta's agrarian economy.
