M.K. Stalin accuses the Union BJP government of dismantling the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) by removing Gandhi's name, cutting central funding from 100% to 60%, and effectively punishing Tamil Nadu for eliminating poverty. He urges the government to abandon the new VBGRAMG scheme, drawing parallels to past policy reversals on the Three Farm Laws and Caste Census.

M.K. Stalin escalated his criticism of the Union BJP government's handling of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), alleging that the government has removed Mahatma Gandhi's name from the scheme, replacing it with a Sanskrit-derived title, and has reduced central funding from a full 100% to just 60%. He claimed that Tamil Nadu, having achieved success in eliminating extreme poverty, would now receive fewer benefits under the restructured scheme as a form of punishment for that achievement. Stalin argued that the scheme, which he said had lifted millions out of poverty, was being dismantled out of what he described as arrogance on the part of the Union government. He drew comparisons to the government's past reversals on the Three Farm Laws and demands for a Caste Census, expressing confidence that public pressure would similarly force a retreat on the VBGRAMG scheme, which he urged the government to abandon immediately.
