Congratulating the distinguished recipients of the Muthamizh Peravai 2025 awards, M.K. Stalin celebrated the living cultural soul of Tamil Nadu. Muthamizh Peravai, founded decades ago by Muthamizharignar Kalaignar Karunanidhi, has served as a revered platform patronizing classical Carnatic musicians, traditional folk dancers, and theatrical performers.
Stalin emphasized that true culture is inclusive and dynamic, embracing both ancient classical forms and vibrant rural folk traditions like Karagattam, Oyilattam, and Villupaattu. The government expanded pensions for indigent artists and organized international cultural festivals to showcase Tamil artistry globally. The artistic community thanked the Chief Minister for sustaining Kalaignar’s legacy of cultural patronage.
