Stalin, at a government function in Kallakurichi district, said the district's needs had been addressed over the past four years through projects including a new collectorate office, new bus stands, upgraded hospitals, a sports complex, and the fast-developing SIPCOT industrial estate at Ulundurpet. He said works and welfare-scheme assistance worth over Rs 1,000 crore were inaugurated or distributed at the event. Stalin framed Kallakurichi's development as evidence of the 'equitable growth' promised under the DMK government's 'Dravidian Model' governance approach, and said the district would see further progress over the next five years. No individual project costs are broken down in the tweet beyond the aggregate Rs 1,000 crore figure.
