Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said Tamil representatives from Sri Lanka met him to raise concerns about a new constitution being framed in that country, fearing it could affect the rights of Sri Lankan Tamils. Based on those concerns, Stalin said he has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the Union Government of India to take all possible steps to ensure that Sri Lankan Tamils are not adversely affected and that their equal rights are protected under the new charter.
