Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the start of the Chennai Sangamam 2026 arts festival, describing it as a celebration honouring the state's traditional folk arts and the artists who perform them. He praised his sister, DMK Member of Parliament Kanimozhi, for her continued efforts organising the festival each year with genuine care and vision. Stalin also mentioned that he personally contributed as a lyricist for the festival this year. Chennai Sangamam is an annual, state-supported cultural festival held during the Pongal season, and the tweet combines festival celebration with an update on the programme's organisation and Stalin's personal involvement.
