Sharing captivating visuals of the beautifully restored Navalur Lake along Chennai's IT corridor, M.K. Stalin celebrated a shining triumph of ecological governance. Once choked by industrial encroachment, invasive weeds, and untreated sewage discharges, the water body was systematically rejuvenated under the state’s urban water restoration mission.

The project deepened the lake bed, constructed reinforced bunds with native tree plantations, and established modern pedestrian walking tracks and children's play parks. Stalin emphasized that protecting water bodies is vital to prevent urban flooding and secure groundwater supplies for expanding neighborhoods. Local residents expressed deep gratitude for an administration that restores natural heritage while enhancing civic life.
