Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled a renovated statue of the late actor, comedian and Dravidian-movement figure Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan at the Kalaivanar Arangam venue named in his honour in Chennai. According to the post, the statue was relocated from its earlier site in T. Nagar and refurbished at the wish of N.S. Krishnan's family. Stalin described him as a devoted follower of Periyar's rationalist movement who used humour to spread awareness among the public.
