Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin carried out a series of inaugurations and welfare distributions during a visit to his Kolathur assembly constituency in Chennai. He opened a newly built integrated police office complex that houses the Kolathur Deputy Commissioner of Police office, the K-5 Peravallur police station, a traffic police station, and the district cyber crime investigation wing. Stalin also laid the foundation stone for a 'Sponge Park' in Kolathur that will include a badminton court among other recreational facilities. Separately, on behalf of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department, which administers Tamil Nadu's temples, he distributed new clothes and wedding items to 500 senior couples who have completed 70 years of marriage. The events were bundled together as a roundup of the day's activities in Kolathur, combining law-and-order infrastructure, urban recreational development and temple-administered elder welfare in a single constituency visit.
