Chief Minister M.K. Stalin credited Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's stewardship of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu over the past three years for what he described as a 'triple jump' in growth, citing higher incentive payments, an unprecedented number of government jobs for sportspersons including para-athletes, and access to world-class training facilities. Building on the establishment of mini stadiums across the state, Stalin announced laying the foundation stone for a 'Global Sports City' in Chennai. He said education and sports should be the 'two eyes' guiding the state's youth, expressing confidence that Tamil Nadu's sportspersons would achieve global success, under the campaign hashtag 'Velvom Ondraga' (Let's Win Together).
