M.K. Stalin accused the Union BJP Government of persisting with Hindi imposition, citing examples including 'Kartavya Dwar' signage at the Tiruchirappalli railway divisional office, 'Bhavishya Nidhi Bhavan' at EPFO offices, Sanskrit-derived names for criminal laws, and the renaming of the water resources ministry as 'Jal Shakti.' He warned the Centre to correct this or face Tamil people's anger.

#StopHindiImposition

M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, accused the Union BJP Government of pushing Hindi imposition even into Tamil and English signage, describing it as a 'language one, script three' approach where a Hindi name is retained even when transliterated into Tamil or English. He cited specific instances: the Tiruchirappalli divisional railway office's entrance gate carrying the signage 'Kartavya Dwar'; Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) offices displaying the name 'Bhavishya Nidhi Bhavan'; new criminal law codes retaining Sanskrit-derived names in their English script versions; and the Union Ministry of Water Resources being renamed 'Jal Shakti.' He also referenced an attempted renaming of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Stalin demanded that Tamil names be used instead in Tamil and English signage, warning that the Union Government would otherwise have to face the anger of Tamil people, using the hashtag '#StopHindiImposition.'
