In view of the ongoing #WestAsiaWar, I have written to Hon’ble @PMOIndia on urgent issues affecting Tamil Nadu and our people abroad.
⛽ LPG supply disruption: Urged immediate steps to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers in Tamil Nadu.
✈️ Safety and evacuation of Tamils in West Asia: Sought urgent facilitation of transit visas, coordinated evacuation, and additional flights for the safe return of stranded persons.
I have also written to Hon’ble @HardeepSPuri regarding:
⚡ Natural gas allocation for power plants: Requested revisiting the methodology under the Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026 to ensure adequate gas availability to meet the upcoming summer peak power demand.
Our MPs will hand over these letters in person to the concerned Union Ministers.
We look forward to swift action from the Government of India.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that, given the ongoing West Asia war, he has written to the Prime Minister's Office on urgent issues affecting Tamil Nadu and Tamils living abroad. His letter raised concerns about LPG supply disruption, urging immediate steps to ensure uninterrupted supply for domestic, commercial, and industrial consumers in the state, and sought the safety and evacuation of Tamils stranded in West Asia, including facilitation of transit visas, coordinated evacuation, and additional flights. Separately, Stalin wrote to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep S. Puri, requesting a review of the methodology under the Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026, to ensure adequate gas availability for power plants ahead of the upcoming summer peak demand. He said Tamil Nadu's Members of Parliament would personally hand over these letters to the concerned Union Ministers, and expressed hope for swift action from the Government of India on all the issues raised.
