Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that, in response to the ongoing West Asia war, he held a high-level consultation two days earlier to address emerging fuel-supply disruptions, and has written to the Prime Minister and relevant Union Ministers regarding the shortage of domestic LPG cylinders and the supply of petrol and diesel. He noted that Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs R. Sakkarapani chaired a consultation meeting the previous day specifically to address the LPG shortage. Stalin said opposition parties staged a protest within Parliament premises to press the Union Government to pay closer attention to the matter. While acknowledging the Union Government's assurance that adequate fuel stocks are available, Stalin urged the public not to panic and said Tamil Nadu would support the Union Government's efforts to navigate the West Asia war situation. The post reflects both a call for calm among citizens and continued pressure on the Centre over fuel-supply management during the crisis.
