M.K. Stalin visited Siva Dhilipan, a supporter injured during a May 17 Movement protest against Hindi imposition, at a government hospital, along with movement coordinator Thiruja. He appealed to youth not to resort to extreme or self-harming actions in protests, invoking DMK founder Anna's words, while reaffirming opposition to Hindi imposition.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited a government hospital to console Siva Dhilipan, who was seriously injured after jumping in front of a train during an anti-Hindi imposition protest organised by the 'May 17 Movement,' and met the movement's coordinator, referred to as Thiruja. Stalin said he had instructed doctors to provide all special care needed for Dhilipan's recovery, who remains in intensive care. In his message, Stalin invoked a statement attributed to DMK ideologue Perarignar Anna during the earlier anti-Hindi agitations, questioning whether such movements are meant to sacrifice young lives, and appealed to youth to channel their opposition to Hindi imposition through political and non-violent means rather than emotional or self-endangering acts. He urged unity in the political arena against what he described as schemes targeting Tamil Nadu, while stressing that the movement's goals remain valid even as such individual acts should be avoided. The post situates the incident within Tamil Nadu's long-running opposition to the perceived imposition of Hindi.
