M.K. Stalin announces that the Union Government has, after months of delay and repeated DMK letters, approved archaeological excavations at eight sites including Keeladi. He says DMK will continue pressing until the Union Government also releases the long-withheld Keeladi excavation report.

Relentless pressure. Repeated letters. And finally, approval.
After months of delay, the Union Government has cleared archaeological excavations at 8 sites including #Keeladi. This is a win earned through DMK’s persistent efforts.
But we are not done. The Union BJP Government is still sitting on the Keeladi excavation report. We will not stop until that too is out.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that the Union Government has approved archaeological excavations at eight sites, including the Keeladi site, after months of delay, crediting the approval to DMK's sustained pressure and repeated letters to the Centre. He said the effort was not yet complete, noting that the Union BJP Government continues to withhold the Keeladi excavation report and that DMK would keep pushing until it too is released. The tweet frames the excavation approval as a Centre-State issue, presenting the delay and the still-unreleased report as evidence of Union Government reluctance regarding findings from the Keeladi site, which has been central to debates over Tamil Nadu's ancient history. No further detail on the other seven sites or a timeline for the report's release is given in the tweet.
