Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin challenged visiting Union ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and BJP chief ministers to answer a set of questions while campaigning in Tamil Nadu. He asked whether they were prepared to openly campaign for implementing a three-language policy in the state, and whether they would transparently disclose how much central fund allocation Tamil Nadu receives compared with BJP-governed states, which he referred to sarcastically as 'favoured child' states. He also questioned whether an amendment to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), which he said targets Christian charitable organisations, would be fully withdrawn or pushed through the following week. Stalin further asked whether AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami could obtain answers to these questions from what he called his 'Delhi bosses,' and urged BJP leaders to address people's livelihood concerns instead of what he termed disrespectful accusations. He asserted that Tamil Nadu would not bow regardless of how many people 'invaded' from Delhi to divide the state, closing with the campaign phrase 'Tamil Nadu will fight, Tamil Nadu will win.'
