Arriving in Pudukottai to a rousing reception under #PudukottaiWithDMK, M.K. Stalin placed the district at the center of Tamil Nadu’s historic water security mission. The DMK administration accelerated work on the monumental Cauvery-South Vellar-Vaigai-Gundar intra-state river linking project, designed to divert surplus floodwaters to drought-prone southern basins.

Stalin highlighted that reviving Pudukottai's intricate network of traditional irrigation tanks and supply channels is essential to protect agrarian livelihoods. By modernizing feeder canals and desilting village ponds, the government ensured that monsoon rains replenish depleted groundwater tables. Grateful farming families turned out in massive numbers, hailing the Chief Minister as the architect of their agrarian revival.
