M.K. Stalin quoted Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge's statement at a campaign rally in Hosur that Stalin was 'not alone' because 'India stands behind him,' and thanked him for the remark. Stalin said residents of Krishnagiri district had pledged to support his full victory and reiterated his claim that the National Democratic Alliance's prospects in Tamil Nadu had effectively ended as of April 17. He alleged that the Prime Minister appeared on television during the Model Code of Conduct period and criticised opposition parties in a government-linked address, calling this an outright violation of poll norms, and linked the remark to what he described as frustration over the failure of the Delimitation exercise. Stalin argued the DMK government was the reason Tamil Nadu remained protected from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), describing the NDA as a force seeking to erase state rights, regional parties and identities, and reiterated his prediction that the alliance would win more than 200 assembly seats in the 2026 Tamil Nadu election.
