Walking through Chennai’s wholesale markets, M.K. Stalin conversed directly with vegetable vendors, fruit traders, and loading workers about their operational conditions. He outlined the administration’s master plan to modernize wholesale logistics, including expanded cold storage hubs, hygienic waste disposal facilities, and designated loading docks.

Stalin emphasized that keeping the city’s food supply chain resilient requires direct capital investment in market infrastructure that protects traders from weather disruptions and volatile price swings. Loading workers thanked the government for welfare board benefits and accident insurance protections expanded under DMK tenure. The energetic exchange proved that Stalin’s governance philosophy remains grounded in the daily realities of manual workers.
