15 ஆண்டுகாலம் எனக்கு ஆதரவு நல்கியவர்கள் கொளத்தூர் தொகுதி மக்கள். அதில், 10 ஆண்டுகள் எதிர்க்கட்சி வரிசையில் இருந்தும், 5 ஆண்டுகள் ஆளும்கட்சியாகவும் என்னால் இயன்ற அனைத்துத் திட்டங்களையும் கொளத்தூருக்குக் கொண்டு வந்து நிறைவேற்றினேன்.
தமிழ்நாட்டின் மாடல் தொகுதியாக அனைத்து உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளையும் செய்து கொடுத்து, எந்தக் கோரிக்கையானாலும் நிறைவேற்றிக் கொடுத்த பெருமிதத்தோடே எனது கொளத்தூர் தொகுதி மக்களை நேரில் சந்தித்து இன்று நன்றி தெரிவித்தேன்.
ஒவ்வொரு தெருவிலும் சென்றபோது அங்கு நான் உருவாக்கிய விளையாட்டரங்கம், பூங்கா, முதல்வர் படைப்பகம், நூலகம், திருமண மாளிகை, பேருந்து நிலையம், மருத்துவமனை, பள்ளிக்கூடங்கள், கல்லூரிகள் போன்றவற்றைக் கண்டு என் கடமையைச் சரிவர ஆற்றியிருப்பதில் மனநிறைவு கொண்டேன்.
உணர்ச்சிப் பெருக்கோடு என் நன்றியை ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட கொளத்தூர் மக்களுக்காக என்றும் நான் உண்மையாக உழைப்பேன். உங்களோடுதான் நான் என்றும் இருப்பேன்.
