After the Tamil Nadu assembly election results and dissolution of the previous assembly by the Governor, M.K. Stalin, on behalf of the DMK, urged the Governor to promptly take the constitutional steps needed to enable formation of a new government so that elected MLAs can be sworn in without delay.

தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் வெளியாகி, மக்களால் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் பட்டியலைத் தேர்தல் ஆணையம் வெளியிட்டு விட்டது. ஏற்கனவே இருந்த சட்டமன்றத்தையும் கலைத்து மாண்புமிகு ஆளுநர் அவர்கள் ஆணையும் பிறப்பித்து விட்டார். இப்படியொரு நிலையில், தேர்தலில் வென்ற சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் பதவிப் பிரமாணம் எடுத்துக் கொள்வதற்கும், மாநிலத்தின் நலனை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வதற்கும் புதிய அரசு அமைய வேண்டியது காலத்தின் கட்டாயம் மட்டுமல்ல, ஜனநாயகத்தின் மிக முக்கியப் பணி!
இந்தச் சூழ்நிலையில் அரசு அமைவதில் தாமதம் ஏற்படுவதைத் தவிர்க்கும் பொருட்டு, அரசியல் சட்டப்படி, புதிய ஆட்சி அமைப்பதற்குரிய நடவடிக்கைகளை மாண்புமிகு ஆளுநர் அவர்கள் உடனடியாக எடுத்திட வேண்டும் என திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தின் சார்பில் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.
Following the announcement of Tamil Nadu assembly election results and the Election Commission's release of the list of newly elected legislators, the previous assembly was dissolved by order of the Governor. In this context, DMK president M.K. Stalin said forming a new government swiftly is both a practical necessity and a core democratic duty, so that elected members can take their oath of office and begin working for the state. On behalf of the DMK, Stalin urged the Governor to immediately initiate the constitutionally mandated process for formation of a new government, to avoid any delay in government formation after the electoral verdict.
